About the role

As a PHP developer at Glesys, you’ll play a central role in developing and maintaining our in-house systems and integrations. You’ll be involved in everything from planning new applications and architecture to handling bugs and improving existing solutions.

Your skills and experience

  • Backend expertise: You’re strong in PHP and keep up to date—for example, with what’s new in PHP 8.
  • Laravel knowledge: Experience with – or curiosity about – Laravel is a big advantage.
  • Quality focus: You value test-driven development and well-structured code.
  • Problem solver: You can manage technical debt while delivering new features.
  • End-to-end ownership: Take part in daily processes such as planning, refinement, coding, testing, and verification.
  • Nice to have: Full-stack experience is a plus, but we prioritize backend skills.

The development team

In our tight-knit team, the focus is on collaboration, creativity, and learning. We work agilely with a mix of mob programming and individual lab projects. Fridays are dedicated to exploring new ideas, tools, and technologies – continuous development is a given for us.

We love open source and are happy to give back to the community. In our work we use PHP (Laravel as the main framework) and Ember.js for our Glesys Cloud control panel.
