Falkenberg, Sweden, August 19, 2024 – Nordic hosting company Glesys has signed an agreement to acquire Moment Digital's data center business in Finland. The investment demonstrates another successful step in the company's expansion plan and commitment to growth and sustainable innovation in the Nordic region.
With a rapidly expanding portfolio of data centers across the Nordics, Glesys is increasing its presence in the Finnish market. As the acquisition of Moment Digital's data center business is finalized, Glesys will take charge of the operations, and take over the site and talent.
– We are thrilled to announce our presence in Tampere, says Glenn Johansson, CEO and founder of Glesys. The acquisition serves as a platform for the local market and accelerates our expansion plans.
As Glesys continues to run the business in a high-performing and scalable manner, customers and partners of Moment Digital’s data center will have access to a significantly wider range of IT services and resources – an opportunity to expand their cooperation.
The strategic acquisition establishes Glesys in Tampere, Finland – home to a thriving technology hub and significant connectivity infrastructure, which are strong demand drivers for a rapidly growing relevant market. Tampere is leading the way in Finland with its strong commitment to sustainability and digitalization, an excellent foundation for Glesys' sustainable IT focus.
