Falkenberg, Sweden, August 14, 2025 – Glesys, a leading Nordic provider of cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions, has acquired Verne’s managed private cloud operations in Finland, including its data center facilities in Pori and Tampere
The acquisition marks a significant step in Glesys strategy to expand its infrastructure and service offering in Finland and across the Nordics. It strengthens the company’s market position and creates even better conditions to deliver secure, sustainable, and scalable solutions to customers throughout the region.
– This is a strategic acquisition that reinforces our presence in Finland and accelerates the development of our Nordic platform. By combining new capacity, expertise, and a strong customer base, we can grow profitably and meet the rapidly increasing demand for secure and energy-efficient cloud solutions. This gives us economies of scale and a solid foundation to continue strengthening our position as a leading player in digital infrastructure in the Nordics,” says Glenn Johansson, CEO of Glesys.
As a result of the transaction, Verne will focus its Finnish operations exclusively on colocation, while Glesys strengthens its position in cloud and infrastructure services in Finland — a development that benefits both customers and the broader market.
– By focusing our Finnish operations, we’re sharpening our offering and ensuring that we are well-positioned to meet the rapidly growing demand for AI-ready colocation data centers. This step aligns perfectly with our long-term vision and our commitment to being the trusted partner for sustainable, high-performance colocation infrastructure in the Nordics and globally,” says Dominic Ward, CEO of Verne.
Torch Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to Glesys, and EY-Parthenon advised Verne in connection with the transaction.
